FLYING TEA BAG

 FLYING TEA BAG 

One day in room 10 we did an experiment and the experiment was to try and make a tea bag fly and the experiment worked.

First we take the string out of the tea bag.

Next we take the tea leaves out of the bag. 

Then we form it in a cylinder.

Later we lite the cylinder with a mach. 

We were  very stoked, that means very happy. We were over the moon when it happened and Ivan tried to catch the tea bag and he succeeded to catch the tea bag. There is a cup of ash aka tea bag on the shelf at the whiteboard.

 At the end I ran two laps with the Otai in my hand.

I than drank out of a cup made of plastic.

It is made of ice, coconut, mandarin water, milk and juice.

 we made chocolate moose and we failed and it was great.

 BOARD IN THE HOUSE 

When I’m bored I watch YouTube on my phone and play games on my playstation 4. If you play playstation 4 you will most likely play with a controller but I play with keyboard and mouse because I think keyboard and mouse is easier for me.

 

             CUTTING MY FINGER

I was washing dishes and I washed the knife the wrong way and then I cut the sponge and my finger. I screamed “DADDY!”. My mother and father rushed into the chichen and saw lots of blood. They took a dishcloth because my finger was bleeding severely.

 We rushed to the hospital but before that we went to the police station because we didn’t know the place so well. Somebody told us to call the ambulance so did but they would have taken too long.

The end process was frying the donuts.

I learned how to make Cook island donuts and it is delicious.

 

This was a fun experience to me.

I learned about were the soap water goes and it goes to the sea.

I learned about electricity and how much power you use in you'er house.

FIRST TIME SEEING SNOW

           FIRST TIME SEEING SNOW
It was very cold up in the mountain. It was very cold because it was snowing. We had something to slide on and it was absolutely an incredible fun thing to do. What we slid on was a big plastic board thing and it has handles so that you can hold on.

Umu experience 

Yesterday we had an Umu which was very exciting. We are going to tell you all about it.

Our principal Mr Herlihy was crowned chief of the school. 

(Which he sort of already was.)

After the crowning the teachers had to drink from a coconut That was used as a cup for the juice. While the teachers said what they wanted to say which was just some thank yous and all. 

While the teachers were doing that the guests were preparing the Umu and were cooking the pig in the umu  when the talking was finished we ate the food which was delicious. 

Some of us didn't want to eat so Mr Raj let us go in class and have free time. It was fun having free time and we could do anything except for playing 1v1.

MAKING PANIKEKE

Ingredients

Borax

PVA Glue 

Hot Water 

Food coloring(If wanted) 

Spoon                                            

Method

1 First you put Pva glue in a bowl

2 Then you put in the borax in the water then mix until they dissolve 

3 After that you add the dissolved Borax with the PVA Glue.(Add food colouring if you want if you want)

4. Then you mix them both together with a spoon and keep on doing that.

5. If you think you are missing anything put a little bit of it and stir it with a spoon.

6. Enjoy your slime.

My Sour Finger 

When I was washing dishes I washed a very sharp knife and that is when I cut  myself. My mother and father rushed me to the hospital. I did not feel very good. I was nauseous when I stood up. Although my finger is getting better every day, it is still sensitive. 

Me and my dad and I went out to go bike. We took a path that led to the beach. We went on the beach to look for a good place to take a photo. We found this spot for a very good photo.

The 1970's fashion

I think that it looks very warm and cosy in the winter and that's why I like it.



I don’t like the wight hat and the wight shirt because it is just too much white and I just can't live with too much white. Being dressed In one colour is boring because it needs tow ore more colours to make it not as boring as one colour.

THE DAY WITH NO INTERNET

If there was no internet I would build some Lego, I would also jump on the trampoline that I have. If I was good with tools I would probably build some things out of spare pieces like Nerf guns.

To keep myself fit I would go to a gym near by and I would walk every day.

MAUI AND THE GIANT FISH

 Maui always wanted to go fishing with his brothers but they would always tell him that he was too small. This made him angry. Maui secretly made a fishing line from flax while reciting a karakia. He took a jawbone which Muri Ranga Whenua gave him and secured it on his line. Early one morning he hid in his brother’s canoe. When his brothers dropped anchor Maui came out of hiding. When Maui wanted to fish his brothers didn’t want to give him bait. He punched himself on the nose and put some of the blood on the hook. He spun his line out to sea and sunk all the way down to the bottom. The hook was instantly taken. Maui pulled a giant fish to the surface. His brothers were so scared they shivered in the corner of the canoe. Maui told his brothers to guard the fish while he goes to Hawahiki to fetch his people. When Maui returned they saw that the greedy brothers chopped gullies and mountains out of the fishes flesh. Over thousands of years the land became populated with plants,animals and fish. Maui's giant fish became the north island and the canoe south island.

 

The Mauri wharepuni is triangular and our house is square.  

The wharepuni is made out of

timber,fern,rushes

and bark and our house is made of bricks,roof tiles and cement.

First Settlers to New Zealand

I think that the Maori were very brave to sail from their ancestral home to find
new islands far away. If I was a Maori I would have never moved. It must have
been a very long journey without a plane. I can’t imagine how tired they must’ve
been when they finally discovered Aotearoa. Many years later Europeans also
came to New Zealand.
